Bybit Referral Code and Invite Code (October 2026): Up to 500 USDT in Tasks, Explained

Last updated: October 27, 2026

A Bybit referral code (Bybit also calls it an invite code) links your new account to a referrer and unlocks a set of trading tasks: under the rules in force since 10 October 2026, you and the person who invited you can each earn 50 USDT, then 100 USDT, then another 100 USDT as your trading volume grows, plus an extra $100 Welcome Gift for you.

That is one of the more generous published referral structures among the big offshore exchanges, but every reward depends on trading, and most are paid as bonuses or vouchers rather than plain cash. This guide walks through the official numbers, where the code goes, Bybit’s fees and the countries it does not serve, as of October 2026.

The key caveat: Bybit says that once your account is registered you cannot add, remove or correct a referral code. If you forget it, the referral is lost.

Sign-up offer

For referees registered on or after 10 October 2026: 50 USDT each for a first trade of $50+ within 14 days, 100 USDT each for $500+ volume and another 100 USDT each for $10,000+ volume within 30 days of the first trade (up to 500 USDT combined for referrer and referee), plus an extra $100 Welcome Gift for the referee. Bybit Global only; rewards subject to 3-day review and a 10-day claim window.

Paste it into Optional Referral Code field on the Bybit sign-up form (web and app). Bybit Global users only; not available in the US, Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Syria, Crimea and occupied Ukrainian regions; EEA users served by Bybit EU; KYC with government ID and selfie. Verified October 27, 2026.

What the Bybit referral code gives you

Bybit’s Referral Program FAQ (last updated 10 October 2026) sets out the rewards for anyone registering on or after 10 October 2026, 12:00 UTC. Both the referrer and the new user receive each reward:

Task (referee)DeadlineReward each
First trade of at least $50Within 14 days of registration50 USDT
At least $500 cumulative trading volumeWithin 30 days of the first trade100 USDT
At least $10,000 cumulative trading volumeWithin 30 days of the first trade100 USDT

Bybit says that together the referrer and referee can earn up to 500 USDT in referral rewards, and that the referee can receive an extra $100 Welcome Gift on top. The first trade can be on Spot, Derivatives, Options, Alpha, TradFi CFDs, Odds, Earn, Convert or Direct Stocks. For volume tasks, zero-fee trading pairs do not count, and volume is added up across your main account and subaccounts.

Two details make a difference in practice. First, rewards are subject to a three-day risk review before they are credited, and once credited they must be claimed within 10 days or they expire. Second, rewards come from a monthly pool of 500,000 USDT with a daily claim limit, handed out first come, first served with priority to higher-volume referees. If the day’s pool runs out, you claim the next day.

Bybit pays rewards in several forms, including bonuses, Fee Savers and Position Airdrops. Fee Savers offset trading fees and are non-withdrawable and non-transferable. A Position Airdrop combines a bonus voucher with a set leverage (Bybit’s example: a 50 USDT voucher at 10x creates a 500 USDT perpetual position). Read the reward type in your Rewards Hub before you assume it is cash.

For the referrer, Bybit pays a share of the referee’s net trading fees for 365 days after sign-up: 20% to start, rising to 25% or 30% with more qualified referees, capped at $5,000 per quarter. That ongoing share is why so many Bybit codes are promoted online.

How to use a Bybit referral code or invite code, step by step

  1. Check your eligibility. When you register in the app, Bybit asks for your country of residence first and blocks sign-ups from restricted countries.
  2. Open the Bybit website or app and tap Sign Up (top right on the website).
  3. Choose email, mobile number, or a Google, Apple or Telegram account (for global users).
  4. Enter the code in the Referral Code field. Bybit labels it optional, so it is easy to skip by accident. If you arrived through a referral link, check the field shows the right code.
  5. Accept the terms, tap Sign Up Now, and enter the verification code Bybit sends you (check spam if you used email).
  6. Set a password of 8 to 30 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number.
  7. Verify your identity with a government-issued ID and a selfie. Bybit says completing KYC within seven days of registration also qualifies new users for a 20 USDT sign-up bonus under its current new-user offer.
  8. Make your first trade of $50 or more within 14 days to start the referral task chain.

There is one narrow exception to the no-late-codes rule: Bybit lets a main account with no code bound add an invitation code from its separate partner programme within 14 days of registration. That does not cover codes from ordinary users under the Referral Program, and once added it cannot be changed. For a normal Bybit invite code, the sign-up form is the only chance.

Eligibility, restrictions and fine print

Bybit’s Service Restricted Countries page (updated 16 October 2026) lists its excluded jurisdictions: the United States, the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Syria, the Crimea region (including Sevastopol) and the non-government-controlled areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Bybit warns that giving false information about where you live can lead to immediate account termination and liquidation of open positions.

  • Global only: the referral rewards above apply to Bybit Global. Bybit runs region-specific programmes elsewhere.
  • European Economic Area: EEA users are served by Bybit EU GmbH, which received a MiCA licence from Austria’s Financial Market Authority in May 2025. Offers and products there differ.
  • United Kingdom: the UK is not on Bybit’s excluded list, but some products are restricted for UK users (Bybit’s xStocks tokenised shares, for example, are not available there).
  • India: Bybit registered with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit in February 2025 after a fine of 9.27 crore rupees for operating without registration, as reported by Cointelegraph, and restored services to Indian users afterwards.
  • Abuse: inappropriate, dishonest or abusive activity disqualifies rewards, and a referral relationship can lapse if the referee makes no trades for 180 days.

How Bybit works: fees, strengths and weak spots

Bybit’s published fee structure for VIP 0 is 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot crypto pairs, and 0.02% maker and 0.055% taker on perpetual and futures contracts. Fiat pairs and special trading zones have separate tables (Adventure Zone pairs, for instance, cost 0.2% for non-VIP traders), and higher VIP tiers lower the rates. Bybit lets you pay part of your fees with its MNT token.

  • Good at: a mature derivatives platform, copy trading and trading bots, and a broad product list that now includes tokenised stocks; our look at tokenised stock listings covers how those products work.
  • Weaker at: spot fees, which are higher than MEXC’s at entry level, and availability in the US, Canada and several Asian financial centres.
  • Watch for: referral and welcome rewards that require trading volume and pay out as vouchers with expiry dates.

Bybit vs alternatives

These are the closest comparisons in our crypto exchange referral codes hub, with published entry-tier fees as of October 2026.

Is Bybit safe and legit?

Bybit is one of the largest crypto derivatives exchanges and holds licences through regional entities, including its MiCA-licensed EU arm in Vienna. It publishes proof-of-reserves data. Its biggest test came in February 2025, when attackers widely attributed to North Korea’s Lazarus Group stole about $1.5 billion in ETH from one of its cold wallets, the largest exchange hack on record. Bybit kept withdrawals open and replaced the stolen funds, but the episode is a reminder that even large exchanges are targets.

Treat Bybit, like any custodial exchange, as a place to trade rather than store savings. Our guide to how 2026 phishing campaigns work is also worth reading, because fake “Bybit bonus” pages are a common lure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a Bybit promo code for existing users?

Not a referral code: Bybit says codes cannot be added once an account is registered. Existing users get offers through the Rewards Hub, VIP programme and events such as trading competitions.

Can I add a Bybit referral code after signing up?

No. Bybit’s help centre says that after registration you cannot add or remove a referral code, and it cannot correct a code entered by mistake. The only exception is a partner-programme invitation code added within 14 days to an account with no code bound.

Is a Bybit invite code the same as a referral code?

Yes. Bybit uses referral code, invite code and invitation code for the same thing: the code in the optional Referral Code field that links you to a referrer at sign-up.

How much can I get with a Bybit referral code?

For accounts registered from 10 October 2026, you and your referrer each earn 50 USDT for a first trade of $50 or more, then 100 USDT at $500 volume and 100 USDT at $10,000 volume, plus a $100 Welcome Gift for you. All depend on trading within the deadlines.

Can I use Bybit in the US, UK or India?

Not in the US, which is an excluded jurisdiction. The UK is not excluded but some products are restricted. In India, Bybit registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit in 2025 and serves Indian users.

My friend forgot to enter my Bybit referral code. Can it be fixed?

No. Bybit’s FAQ says the user will not be recognised as your referee if they did not use your code or link at sign-up.

Risk warning: crypto assets are volatile and leveraged derivatives are high risk. Position Airdrops and bonus vouchers open leveraged positions that can lose value fast. You can lose all the funds you deposit, so only trade what you can afford to lose.
